Ride To Kedarnath and Badrinath
We recently completed our trip to kedarnath on a bike. It was a dream trip for us. If you are planning to go kedarnath on a bike it may help you
Day 1: Biratnagar to Gorakhpur (around 480km) via jogmani border or if you are from ktm you can go through raxaul or if you are from
Butwal you can directly
Reach Lucknow.
We could have gone through mahakali but the lahan road is under repair and there are lots of diversion and narayanghat to butwal way is too bad so we decided to go directly from jogmani border.
Day 2
Gorakhpur to Lucknow ( 269 km)
kina kam distance vanda kheri day 1 ma border ma ali ali lang huna sakcha bag checking ma paryo bhane time badi jancha so next din 5 6 hours ride garera rest
Day 3
Lucknow to Delhi (540 km)
This will be the one of the longest distance traveled in a day. You will see the one way 4 lane road called as a expressway and can feel India is quite developed interms of transportation.
Before entering the expressway, make sure you have full gas and your bike is at good condition
If any breakdown happens theres no way rather than towing your bike
The first petrol pump is at around 50 km second is at around 120km and so on. In the express way dont expect a mileage of 40, you will get around 10 12 15 20 because tetro bato ma 50 60 kudauna manalagdaina you will
Go with full rev on.
And dont forget to enter the every petrol pump and rest station because in between there is no stopping point or even houses.
Day 4 Visit Delhi or Delhi To Haridwar (around 200km 5 hours)
Haridwar is a religious place , you can easily reach hairdwar by 4 5 pm and can travel some religious place like har ki paudi, manda devi etc the holy river flows there and becareful of pandit scammers they will scam you while you are worshipping ganga or ful patti haru chadaune bela mantra paddiyera they will ask you for money in between the prayer with a minimum tag of 551 1051 , 50.5k etc for eg aba topaiko dad mom
Ko lamo ayu ko lagi, afno mommy daddy ko lamo live ko lagi kati dan dinu huncha 551, 1051, 5000, etc so be careful

Day 5
Haridwar to Sonprayag (230 km )
This will be last day of riding before reaching kedarnath. You will find rishikesh after 20km its a holy and adventure place if you like you can stay there aswell. From rishikesh to sonprayag the roads are just like nepal no one way and hills ups and downs. Becareful on riding on this road most of the indian drivers exactly dont know how to drive on this kind of road they overtake on blind turnings, drives on middle of the lane. There is a big parking in sonprayag you can park your bike over there or find some hotels who offer your bags and bike parking for some days.
You can find good rooms with good price starting from 500 per person to 10k per room. The online booking doesnt work unless you pay money through paytm or phon pe by calling them.
Day 6
Sonprayag to kedarnath (25km)
You will need to travel in jeep for around 3km and they will charge you 50 per person and you will reach gaurikund. From Gaurikund, the real trekking starts the trekking distance is 22 km but it is written 16km. Previously it was 16km before the flood that happened in 2013 i think.
If you are with you mom and dad who cant trek then you have a option of horse and khacchad the horse will charge you 2500 inr and also have a option of bhariya they usually charge 3500 inr and also you have a option helicopter which is around 7500 to 10k inr up and down.
The trekking route is fine no risk , no landslide area but the problem is there are around 3 4k horses and khachads they do shit on the trekking route and when you reach kedarnath and you smell like shit. And also the horse owners will come in between ask for side sometimes the horse hit you.
The first 4 5 km is fine no steep upwards nor downwards after the place called bhimbali the real trekking begins , after the bhimbali there is no plain road. In between the trek, If you decide to go on horse you will have a option there. In between the trek there are lot of places where you can stay and sleep too. Its a 8 to 10 hours trek. If you go early you can witness and worship the kedarnath in the same day.
Kedarnath is located at around 3600 m height chances of getting acute mountain sickness is low but the weather is unpredictable so be ready for snow, rain and hailstorm. There is a very long line in kedarnath and if you wish not to stay in line you will have a option to directly get in by paying 1k inr over there and if you want to go in and touch the kedarnath main statue then you will need pay around 5k inr.
Night stay in kedarnath temple
Usually the hotels over there gets full so you will have first book the room before reaching the temple. The room usually costs around 2k starting and if you come late the same room can cost you 5k inr too.
Day 7
Return back to Sonprayag and Reach Badrinath (224km)
If you start early you can reach badrinath easily.
In the way to badrinath the traffic is quite low and there is two route to reach badrinath one is from rudraprayag and another is from chopta.
If you are going from chopta, the roads are quiet small and the traffic is very low. Its a Wild life crossing zone so be carefuly. Recently we witnessed black leopard on the way so i recommend going on a group. After reaching a place called mandi there is no risk of wildlife.
Badrinath is located 2 minutes away from the highway and in badrinath, you will find lots of hotel

Day 8
Badrinath Darshan and return back to rishikesh or haridwar
Worship Badrinath early morning
And return back to rishikesh

Rishikesh to Agra (7 hours ride)

Taj mahal Visit
Visit one of the seven wonders of the world
Day 11
Agra to Gorakhpur (603 km)
Agra lucknow express way is around 320km you can cross it easily in 3 hours and reach lucknow, you can stay in lucknow or travel to gorakhpur choice is yours
Day 12
Gorakhpur To Nepal
Note: Getting your vehicle inside india requires permit from indian embassy. You can easily make the permit either by yourself or through agent. Agent charges around 6k per permit. If you go by yourself you could save around 2 3k. Documents required are: citizenship, driving license, full insurance of vehicle, bank guarantee , blue book of vehicle and its not your vehicle then the extra documents of vehicle owner
We completed this trip around with 1lakh per person including stay in fancy hotels and daaru. You guys can complete this trip with around 65k npr
